Hi, I’m Erin!
When I was a child, my dream was to run a brick and mortar stationery store. For years, I forgot about this vision and pursued different educational opportunities and careers, but always had a deep knowing inside that I was meant to do something else, to start and grow something of my own that I could pour my whole heart, body and soul into.
One day in late 2023 at 31 years old, I realised that I could make this childhood dream a reality, and that there was nothing holding me back. I had to consider what I was truly passionate about - creating, memory keeping, and capturing the people in my life. That afternoon, The Memory Guardians was born. My goal is to inspire and empower people to become the storytellers and memory keepers in their own life.
I first realised the importance of memory keeping when my dad passed away. I was only 8 years old, and the week he died my mum got me a memory box where I could keep all the special trinkets, photos, documents and memories that I shared with my beloved dad. We were very close and losing him was very difficult for me but having that special place to collect memories of him and information I learned about him as time went by was healing in some ways.
This ‘dad’ memory box still lives in my closet, and I look at it a couple of times a year when it feels like the right time. I truly believe that capturing both the good and bad memories is important. Loss, grief and pain is part of life, but by being able to remember and capture our loved ones as they come and go, I know this is my path in life.
Before you go, meet Leo!
Leo is my sweet one year old toy cavoodle who is always by my side. He is my loving, cheeky and playful guardian dog who loves exploring the world and inspiring me to do the same. Always curious about what his mum is up to, Leo oversees every order before it makes its way to you in the post.
